Corporate Ladder: Challenges and opportunities

Leadership comes with challenges and opportunities. In this talk, Rod Jackson (Chief Financial Officer, Westpac International) will reflect on how his experience at ANU contributed to shaping his professional journey, and discuss how one can successfully tackle different stages and facets of the corporate ladder.

Rod Jackson

Rod Jackson is the Chief Financial Officer at Westpac International. He is responsible for the financial and strategy management for eight countries (USA, UK, India, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Fiji and PNG) with around 80 finance team members spread across these jurisdictions. His previous positions at Westpac included Chief Operating Officer (Europe & Americas), General Manager (Finance), and Chief Financial Officer (Retail and Business Banking) in Sydney. Rod also served as the Chief Financial Officer of St George Bank (2008-2012).

Rod completed the Bachelor of Economics, majoring in Economics and Accounting at The Australian National University and an MBA from IMD Business School.
